Home Depot Leads the Big Box Stores in the Eco-Wise, Non Toxic Renovation Movement.
We at Buy-Fix-Sell Properties have made it our mission for over 10 years to introduce our clients to the larger picture of a home renovation. Although not always popular we have sought to give our clients information on toxicity, internal air quality, eco-friendly, sustainable and green options to consider before they make their plans and finalize their budgets to renovate. Our task has not always been met with enthusiasm by the clients themselves. Understandably they start out being only interested in the bottom line – how much will the renovation cost?
BFS believes that for our Clients to know before they buy how much they will save on energy and how much less toxic their internal air quality and environment will be by making simple informed decisions, is our responsibility and we take it seriously. Our houses are more than just properties, they should and can be environments where we are able to nurture our children and families keep them safe and allow them to live healthy lives.
Thankfully the Green, Eco-Friendly, Sustainable and Non Toxic market niches have expanded so much that the big box stores, most notably Home Depot have decided to serve this growing consumer niche and we want to recognize and applaud their effort. As renovation project managers any resource we can utilize to introduce our clients to a full range of material options to choose from for their renovation projects whether it be an investor interested in turning a challenged foreclosure into a whole house flip, or a home owner renovating a few rooms in their house to become more energy efficient – information is key!
As renovation project mangers we applaud Home Depot on their forward thinking and ask Lowes to jump on the train, because it is leaving the station with a whole new generation of home owners and investors who want and demand the materials and tools to make informed decisions on issues of the true cost of a renovation project most notably pay back, energy efficiency, toxicity levels of paints and other commonly used small and large household renovation materials and products.
